der schutze was founded in Hamburg, Germany as a creative streetwear project. The name translates to "The Archer", corresponding to the Sagittarius zodiac sign, representing target shooting, and precision. It was inspired by an American bar called "The Ausländer" (The Foreigner). Rather than printing quick designs on blank garments, we wanted to create "wearable art". We set out to specialize in detailed, rich embroidery. Every piece of clothing acts as a canvas for our graphic-heavy concepts. To maintain absolute control over the quality of our craftsmanship, the brand moved its primary manufacturing to a dedicated facility in Istanbul in 2020. This allows us to inspect every stitch and use premium heavy fabrics (450+ GSM cotton). We operate on a "drop" model, releasing limited items at specific times. Once a drop sells out, it is archived and never reproduced. This slow-fashion approach keeps our designs unique and highly sought after by our community around the globe.
